All of us probably have very busy and stressful days, but if you want your house to be neat and tidy and best protect your health, there are certain house cleaning tips and items you should really pay attention to and clean every single day if you can.
Take a look at these 9 things you should clean every day:
Kitchen Towels
One of the most frequently used things in your home are definitely the towels from your kitchen and bathroom. These are possibly the dirtiest spots in your home. Why? The answer is very simple. You use them every day, that’s why you should change them very often. Especially in the case that you have a big family.
Keys
Have you ever cleaned your keys? Well, you should clean them from time to time. We bring a huge number of various bacteria into our house with keys. They often fall on the ground, and we usually keep them in filthy pockets and touch them with filthy hands.
Bathroom tiles
To keep your bathroom clean and free from nasty mold, mildew, and bacteria, you should wipe the bathroom walls after you have a shower. Less moisture means fewer bacteria and mold will form, both of which could potentially make you sick.
Kitchen sponge
This is possibly the filthiest thing in every kitchen. We use a kitchen sponge to wash almost everything in our kitchen, from dirty dishes to wiping crumbs as well as spills. One of the best ways to clean a kitchen sponge is definitely microwaving. To achieve this, first wash the sponge completely, then place it in your microwave for 1-2 minutes and on a low power setting.
Monitor this process carefully: in case you notice smoke, turn off your microwave right away. Also, never clean sponges wth metallic pads in a microwave.
Sinks
Every time you wash your hands or dishes, bacteria you wash off your hands actually stay on the sink’s walls. So, wash and clean your sinks as often as possible.
Dishes
If you have a habit of leaving the dishes soaked in filthy water, it can really put your immune system to the test. This dirty water is a hotbed for various bacteria and other nasty things. Try to wash your dishes immediately.
Coffee maker
Believe it or not but a coffee maker turns out to be a breeding ground for both mold and various bacteria. For this reason, you should clean and wash every part of it as often as possible.
Cutting board
Cutting boards are also a prime source of bacteria, fungi, etc. There are a few ways to clean your boards and keep them safe from any harmful bacteria. If your cutting board is made of wood, soak it in a water/ vinegar mixture (1:1) for a few minutes.
To clean your boards on a daily basis, blend one teaspoon of baking soda powder and a ½ liter of warm water. Pour this over your board, leave it for a few minutes, then rinse it thoroughly.
Makeup
Don’t forget to clean your makeup brushes and sponges as often as possible in order to keep your face healthy and safe from different germs or bacteria that can be on your precious makeup tools.
